If Tenderness be gold is a poetic tapestry about generational memory and the mysteries of family life. The story was inspired by Albanese’s great grandmother, the sole survivor of her family to make the ocean voyage from Ireland to the 19th century Canadian wilderness.

On a cold prairie night, three woman come together; a young mother, midwife and herbalist to heralding the birth of a new generation with the determination and will to change the lives of women in rural Canada.
